What is extracted
Much more than what is on the screen
The extraction reads the WhatsApp database, not the screen. That is why it includes what a screenshot cannot show.
Date and time each message was sent, delivered and read.
The original files with their metadata, not a compressed copy.
Recoverable in many cases if the phone has not been used since.
Number, contact name and profile linked to each message.
Members, admins, and who joined or left the group.
SHA-256 hash of the full extraction and of each file.
The same forensic extraction for the other messaging apps on the phone.

Before you instruct us
Is a WhatsApp screenshot valid in court?
It may be admitted, but if the other side challenges it, the court will require expert evidence. Forensic certification removes that risk from the outset.
Can a conversation I have already deleted be certified?
Often, yes: the forensic extraction recovers deleted records that a screenshot would never show, as long as the phone has not been used since. Stop using it and switch it to aeroplane mode.
Does the other person need to know or give permission?
Not to certify a conversation you took part in: it is extracted from your own phone. How to use it in the proceedings is for your lawyer to assess.
Does it work if I have the backup but not the phone?
Working on the original phone offers the strongest guarantees. Depending on the case, backups or exports can be analysed, and the report explains their limitations.
Is it the same as certification by a notary?
No. A notary attests to what they see on the screen; the expert extracts the conversation from the device, verifies its integrity with hashes and metadata, and can defend it in court if it is challenged.
How much does it cost to certify a WhatsApp conversation?
450 € + VAT. If the case needs more work — several conversations, large groups or a court deadline — we set it out in a fixed quote before we start.
