Before you instruct us
Can you tell whether an audio recording has been cut?
In many cases, yes, by analysing the waveform and the metadata. The report explains the degree of certainty of each conclusion.
Is a forwarded voice note any use?
The original is better: forwarding can recompress the file and lose metadata. We extract it from the phone that received or recorded it.
Do you carry out voice identification?
Yes, we also take on complex cases such as attributing a voice. We assess the recording at triage and tell you before we start what can be concluded technically, and with what degree of certainty.
